I'm using CVS version 1.10.6. I just tried your command and it failed here just the same. Then I did cvs -z9 -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs/linuxtv co DVB which worked just fine (note the '-z9' options for compression). Since I always use '-z9' I didn't see the problem before.
