Interestingly I too have had the same problem with attempting to cat /dev/ost/dvr on wintv nova t, wintv dvb and nova s.
Most recently I had limited success tuning with tzap and then using dvbstream to read the stream successfully. However cat'ing still dosent work. -Bradley > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 04 January 2002 12:42 > To: PSIplus > Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Marcus Metzler > Subject: [linux-dvb] Re: WinTV Nova: Drivers working, but no Video > > > PSIplus writes: > > Hi! > > > > Additional Info: > > If I record the Stream: > > cat /dev/ost/dvr | ts2ps 0 0 > test.mpg > > The video quality is low... nearby the whole screen is green, > no sound, etc... > > Did you test the file with mplayer or xine. mplayer has no problems > with my files, but xine has no sound and hangs at the end. > If you have blockiness or similar distortions, you may have tuning > problems.
