I've tried that several times using the vpid and apid values, tuxzap shows in the channel list if you drill down the channel properties. It simply doesn't change a thing... Perhaps it even makes it worse! Today I found out by chance, that a stream is coming through ts2ps using pid auto-detection. But it takes about 2 - 5 minutes time, till mplayer recognizes a mpeg-stream and displays the picture. Before I began writing this mail, I started "ts2ps /dev/ost/dvr 101 102 | buffer | mplayer -" but up to right now (approx. 10 minutes later), no stream is available to mplayer so I guess it won't come anymore. So I think, using pid 0 0 works even better then specifying the real ones. Apart from that start delay the result in mplayer is far from being satisfactory. For further information I quoted the xterm-output from stvmp (script from PSIplus) below. Picture quality is good, but mplayer can't detect any sound in the stream. Maybe this is a result of the fact, that vPID and aPID are identical. Also the video-stream suddenly ends after a few minutes and mplayer stops, saying "(End of file)". In most cases, the startup-delay is longer than the picture is shown. If you're lucky you can view a commercial spot in a whole but nothing much longer.
