Hi all,
I use siemens_dvb 0.9.4 and vdr 0.99 on my rh7.2 with kernel 2.4.17-SMP,
XFree 4.2.0 and the latest drm-radeon from the gatos project.

Everything seems to work great except for these two problems:
When I enlarge the tv window of any program I tried (kvdr, xawtv, tuxview)
to a dimension a little greater than the default 160x120 I start to get
the horrible snow effect, you know, everything which start moving seems to
dematerialize.
Searching through the list I found that the problem could be the motherboard
chipset (mine is a VIA APOLLO Pro 133T) which you say that doesn't handle very
well the pci bus latency.
Anyway I must say that with win2000 or with composite out I have a perfect
tv screen.
Is out there a kernel patch/workaround which can handle a better pci latency?
(Assuming the problem is the chipset or the implementation in the kernel)

The other problem is the maximum tv dimension I can reach. xprop says no more
than 768x575:

WM_NORMAL_HINTS(WM_SIZE_HINTS):
user specified size: 200 by 149
program specified size: 200 by 149
program specified minimum size: 160 by 120
program specified maximum size: 768 by 575
      window gravity: NorthWest

Tried everything (I think) with v4l-conf, but without success, and I know
it is the standard for PAL but could be nice to go FULLSCREEN like in
m$windows.

N.B: I didn't specified my dvb card which is a HAUPPAUGE DVB-S rev1.3.

Thanks

ciao,
Francesco
