Some cards are reported to have subdevice ID's in their EEPROM with
wild values. 
Patched 0.8.2 drivers (level >=8) rely on the onboard EEPROM stored ID's
to properly detect the card and will fail because of an unknown value.

For example, my card is a SkyStar 1 and contained subdevice 0x1002 and
it seems that it should be 0x0000...
