I think I've found the reason.. As there weren't any real changes in dvb_frontend.c or the other tuning code between 0.9.4 and 2.5.47, it had to be something else. I think it's the change to 1000HZ in kernel 2.5 that is causing this. I've just tested it with a 2.5.47 kernel recompiled with HZ set to 100, and tuning is now fine again....
