I applied the patch already (actually, I created a new uni_stv0299.[co]) and the card is just working fine.
The dvr device will only get a stream if you set up the Demux appropriatly, e.g. by calling $ szap -r zdf then let it run in one console and call $ cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 | ts2ps 0x65 0x66 | mplayer -cache 2048 - in another one.
It took me a day or so to find out that you have to run both commands at the same time 8-) Being used to KWinTV and others this isn't a very intuitive way.
Nobody expects you to use these programs directly, there you want to take e.g. VDR, Enigma, whatever...
I think I will write a HOWTO-Budget-Cards after I found out what to do to get it all running. The above solution is not very userfriendy and I try to get some more infos about useable applications (where you can swap channels without restarting mplayer). I would even write them myself if I would know where to start...This would be fine, please post the HOWTO on this list so we can enclose it to the CVS tree...
