For me, it's still there. If your problem still persists, please ask on the mailing list. I don't use the network subsystem...

The new saa7146 subsystem has been put into the cvs driver, ie. if you checkout "dvb-kernel", you'll get the latest cvs driver with the new saa7146 subsystem. You'll find a dir named "build-2.4" that can be used to build the new driver under 2.4.x.

Please note that this is completely separated from the driver in the DVB directory...
