I finally made my NOVA DVB-S card working under Linux. But now I have strange problem with (n)tuxzap. All is working fine (starting "tuxzap" or "ntuxzap -e", selecting channel and then starting in other console ts2ps /dev/ost/dvr 0 0 | mplayer - makes DVB channel playing in mplayer), but the problem occurs when I try to change channel in (n)tuxzap. When I change channel in tuxzap or ntuxzap it freezes! I am no longer able to move up and down in channel list and select channels. Also mplayer window turns into black. So, when I want to change channel I have to restart (n)tuxzap, select new desired channel and restart ts2ps | mplayer. It is really not an ideal way to change channels...!:-(
I discovered, that this problem occurs only when is "something concurrently reading" form /dev/ost/dvr device. When cat or ts2ps from /dev/ost/dvr is NOT in progress, then I can change channels in (n)tuxzap without problem. But I also cannot watch the channel... I am using oldstruct DVB drivers from 08-16-2002 on Mandrake 8.2 with 2.4.18. kernel. Does someone knows how to solve it? Thanks for any usefull information!
