see if there is a MSP430 IC electrically attached to the header, maybe 
just below it. i added support to DVB/ for that chip as an IR receiver 
earlier this year and somebody else ported it to dvb-kernel/.

I've taken a new better picture of the board, with more bits labeled.

The chips directly beneath the IR jack is labelled as 430F110A, so it 
could well be an MSP430... There's no manufacturer mark as far as I can 
tell.. Let's hope it's the same chip.
