Hi, I have recently started using linux dvb with VDR and have found that the later versions of the drivers have problems with certain UK Terrestrial transponders in the UK from Crystal Palace transmitter.
I see these problems with linuxtv-dvb-1.0.0-pre2 and CVS from May 24th. With the ITV and Sky transponders the video frequently stutters and jumps. Examples from channels.conf of stations that show this behaviour are: - ITV 1 (TV):481833:I0C23D0M64B8T2G32Y0:T:27500:512:650,660:0:0:8261:0:0:0 Channel 4 (TV):481833:I0C23D0M64B8T2G32Y0:T:27500:2827:2828,2830:0:0:8384:0:0:0 Sky News (TV):578166:I0C34D0M16B8T2G32Y0:T:27500:101:102,104:0:0:22080:0:0:0 Sky Spts News (TV):578166:I0C34D0M16B8T2G32Y0:T:27500:201:202,204:0:0:22144:0:0: 0 I don't see the problem on the BBC transponders: - BBC ONE (TV):505833:I0C34D0M16B8T2G32Y0:T:27500:600:601,602:0:0:4164:0:0:0 BBC TWO (TV):505833:I0C34D0M16B8T2G32Y0:T:27500:610:611,612:0:0:4228:0:0:0 I don't think this is a problem with signal strength as I do *not* get this problem with linuxtv DVB CVS from January 13th. My set-up is as follows: - RedHat 9 (vanilla 2.4.20 kernel) VDR 1.2.0 with DXR3 (patched 0.1.9) plugin Hauppauge Nova DVB-T Athlon 2000+ 256Mb RAM Has anyone seen this problem too? It looks like a problem with the driver as it goes away with the earlier release.. Does anyone have any suggestions?
