You did compile dvbtune with NEWSTRUCT=1 set in the make file right. It looks like
it's trying to use the old device format so you can't just link the old to the new.
Also make sure you have the latest dvbtune (0.4) from CVS it is not available from
Dave Chapmans website. The code is aging a bit now and there are problems ever with
the most up-to-date version.

Also make sure your devices exist in /dev/dvb/adaptor* etc. If not use the
makedev.napi script to create them.

Subject: [linux-dvb] Trouble installing - update

strace dvbtune gives:

open("/dev/ost/dvr0", O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK) = -1

an: ln -s /dev/dvb/adapter0 /dev/ost && dvbtune -f 537833333 -i gives:

tuning DVB-T to 537833333

And then seems to hang.

A dvbstream -f 481833333 -ps -o 2827 2828 gives:
dvbstream v0.4pre1 - (C) Dave Chapman 2001
Released under the GPL.
Latest version available from http://www.linuxstb.org/
tuning DVB-T to 796995848
Channel tuned
FE_UNEXPECTED_EV
Event: iFrequency: 134584000
Bit error rate: 0
Signal strength: 0
SNR: 0
FE_STATUS:
FILTER 2827: DMX SET PES FILTER: Invalid argument
FILTER 2828: DMX SET PES FILTER: Invalid argument
Output to stdout
Streaming 2 streams

This really is worrying.

Thanks agains,

A. Evans
