I tried to fill in "dvb", too, but then /var/log/messages says:
modprobe: Can't locate module alps_bsru6 which is needed for char-major-81-0 modprobe: Can't locate module alps_bsru6 which i s needed for char-major-250
Alps BSRU6 is the type of my tuner, but in the whole DVB tree, there is no alps_bsru6.o !! The crazy thing is that when i do "make" and "make insmod", it works fine without module alps_bsru6. Seems as if "make insmod" loads other modules than those that are mentioned in /etc/modules.
Here is the interesting part of lsmod, when the DVB driver an xawtv are working:
dvb-ttpci 300444 1
evdev 4352 0 (unused)
input 3168 0 [dvb-ttpci evdev]
ves1820 4028 0
stv0299 6704 0 (unused)
grundig_29504-491 3584 0
grundig_29504-401 3912 0
alps_tdlb7 4044 0
alps_tdmb7 3748 0
alps_bsrv2 3896 0
dvb-core 38756 3 [dvb-ttpci ves1820 stv0299 grundig_29504-491 grundig_29504-401 alps_tdlb7 alps_tdmb7 alps_bsrv2]
Because I nearly know nothing, I cannot interpret the output of lsmod. Maybe someone of you sees clearly what has to be entered in /etc/modules to get the same state after restart ??
Is there possibly another file, where I have to enter something?
Was it right that I copied all .o files from the DVB/driver tree to /lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/dvb/ ?? That did not happen automatically.
I have no idea any more. Maybe it's some simple thing that I don't know.
