Hello I am currently testing several DVB-S cards receiving multiple (3) multicast data streams at a maximum of two mega bits per second. Comparing the Skystar2 with the Nova-S and [EMAIL PROTECTED], the skystar always looses data/files (approx. 10 - 20%). I also have a fourth system with NT and another skystar2, that does not loose anything. I have tested this with current DVB from CVS.
With the dvb-kernel from yesterday I had more problems. szap must run continuously, otherwise there will be no reception at all. And when I wanted to unload dvbnet it told me that the device is busy so I unloaded the modules. But that resulted in an oops, the machine was still accessible, but was unable to shutdown, only a reset helped. It would be nice to get the Skystar working since it is not so expansive and does not have so many interrupts per second (60 for Skystar2, 100 for Nova-S and 300 for [EMAIL PROTECTED]). It also does not get so hot as the other two cards. Thanks, Holger (Kiehl) -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe linux-dvb" as subject.
