ECD is European Common Decrypter, a CSA hardware descrambler, it is available in AV7111. One thing.. Does it support both QAM-64 and QAM-128 modulation? I think they use them both here in Finland. > My personal take: I would stay away from anything with an AV7111 on it! Yep, but it is hard and CPU consuming to get a picture to TV without it. > But then you'll need a > software MPEG-2 decoder, and Linux-VDR may not work with budget-cards > either... That's not a problem, I'm not using VDR. Maybe I should buy a DVB-C budget and use Nexus DVB-S for MPEG-2 decoding? Maybe that would consume some CPU power too and increase instability too much. :( -- Regards, Rami -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe linux-dvb" as subject.
