Hi List,
I had been using linuxtv-dvb-1.0.0-pre1 for a long time now in a box having 3 DVB Nova-T cards, to record the transport streams. In Finland there are 3 terrestrial transponders, so this is why I need 3 cards. The cards were all working and recording in the same time perfectly (working nonstop for months). However, yesterday I switched to the ...pre3 version and problems started. First of all let's number the cards (#0, #1 and #2) based on the entry on the "/dev/dvb/adapter#" tree. Second of all, I am uzing the tzap code (in /apps/szap) to lock onto the transponders. Third, my antenna works fine, so this is not the problem. So, with pre3, I only manage to lock with card #0 (to do that I execute: "./tzap -a 0 yle1"). Both cards #1 and #2 fail to lock. Then I switched back to pre1, and surprisingly, I only manage to lock on the card #2. (*Note*: before, with these drivers I was able to lock all 3 cards). I swithced back and forth between the drivers, and this behaviour repeated. Then I changed the position of the cards on my PCI lots (of course that then the card index changed accordingly) but the situation was the same, I mean the card that before was #2 and now is #1 workes only with pre1. (!!! weird huh??) So anyway... I am quite confused by this problem thus I'll stop here. But there is another thing. Sometimes, when starting locking with pre3, there is this message: "...: IRQ lockup, cleared int mask" (from saa7146_core.c). Can anyone give me a hint? Thanks, Aurelian PS. I am using the same pre3 drivers in another box with satellite cards, and it works flawlessly. -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe linux-dvb" as subject.
