I got a nova dvb-s from ebay and I'm experiencing some problems. I tried different drivers but I can only receive vertical polarized channels (and that doesn't work all the time). mostly picture and sound are very choppy. I thought it might be a driver issue but the windows software gives the same results. the cable seems to be ok because it works fine with my fullfeatured card (the nova was the only installed card when tested). I measured the voltages that come out of the card. I get 15.9V for vertical and 22.2V for horizontal. as I unplugged the sat cable from the LNB to measure the voltages I think they are ok.
has anyone an idea how to solve the problem or do you think the card is broken? might it even be a mechanical error?
my systems specs are:
duron 1200 384mb ram linux 2.4.18 S-DVB Data, Rev. 1.1, TT2000.6 (BSRU6-502, STV0299)
thanks, tobi
