Belive it or not there isn't any info on this

do a search for dvb mpayer or dvb xine or channels.conf xine and you
won't find anything that explains anything

Doing a man xine or a man mplayer doesn't being up anything useful either

Hence why I asked

So far the only help I've gotten from this list is from someone from the
mandrake list. And someone I've e-mailed dirrectly.

What exactly is this list for?

I know this seems like I'm flaiming the list but I'm not. I'm just
getting annoyed by people saying read the docs when there doesn;t appear
to be anything use full.

Why isn't there a howto on the front page of linuxtv.org?

I manages to get it working with a few channels all by my self
svbstream -f 570000 -qam 16 -cs 2_3 -o -ps 201 202 | mplayer -cache
4096 -

why dvbstream? check the apps/szap directory. run zap -r in parallel with mplayer /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0. the szap directory also has lots of channel configuration files. RTFM!!

Also how do I make it work with xine? As it's my player of preferance.

?? what's the problem, aren't there any xine docs? even the linux-dvb docs AFAIR tell you how to do it.

Oh and how do I set up xine for changing channels I heard somewhere
that it is possible.

RTFM
