Dear Michael,

thank you very much for pointing me into the right direction.
Instead of doing (as I did all the time)

$ cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs/linuxtv co DVB

I checked out

$ cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs/linuxtv co dvb-kernel

and used the directory "dvb-kernel/build-2.4" for "make" and "insmod".

Now tvtime-0.9.9 runs great on my own build kernel-2.4.22/gcc-3.2.3.
(Hauppauge-DVB-C, AMD-XP1700+, xfree4.2).

Just for your information concerning XawTv and
nvidia-driver-4496/chip-set GeForce4 Ti 4600:

"TvTime" and, e.g. "Xine" (build from source), use the Xvideo extension as XawTv does.
As you proposed I am using XawTv-3.88 for the last two weeks only in "-noxv" mode.
Until I upgraded to nvidia-driver 1.0-4496, XawTv worked fine in Xvideo-mode.
Perhaps the nvidia-driver is buggy.

However, somehow Xine and TvTime get along with Nvidia.

I'm going to tell you (and Gerd Knorr) when xawTv works for me again (maybe with the next release from Nvidia)

Ciao Ruediger
