As I mentioned on another email a moment ago, it might be worth trying a known good driver with and without these changes to see if they really are to blame.
I've done another test. Now each P4 system get one Nova-S budget card. The only difference between the two machines is the DVB driver. I've recorded Sat1 from 16:00 - 17:00 a both system. Here's the result:

For there is no much difference. Both recordings are unusable. The dvb driver from 2003-05-10 is the oldest one I had on disk. Is it useful to make a test with an older/newer driver again?
