Sorry for filling the list today... OK, so my full featured card is now working very reliably, but I have tried to switch to a 2.6 kernel, and trying both 2.6.8-mm and 2.6.9-mm, neither seem to detect my Nova-T correctly (using just the plain kernel sources, no other patches, well apart from -mm...)
It's one of the newer Nova-T PCI cards with the remote control. using "modprobe tda1004x tda1004x_debug=1" leaves the following in the log: Oct 31 20:55:07 mm kernel: tda1004x_attach Oct 31 20:55:07 mm kernel: tda1004x_read_byte: reg=0x0 Oct 31 20:55:07 mm kernel: tda1004x_read_byte: error reg=0x0, ret=-121 lsmod looks like this (I think it has loaded all the right modules...?) tda1004x 16900 0 dvb_ttpci 315660 0 saa7146_vv 48384 1 dvb_ttpci video_buf 22144 1 saa7146_vv v4l1_compat 17280 1 saa7146_vv v4l2_common 7936 1 saa7146_vv videodev 11904 1 saa7146_vv alps_tdlb7 12292 1 budget 8704 0 budget_core 9728 1 budget dvb_core 61056 15 tda1004x,dvb_ttpci,alps_tdlb7,budget,budget_core saa7146 18844 4 dvb_ttpci,saa7146_vv,budget,budget_core ttpci_eeprom 6400 2 dvb_ttpci,budget_core Any ideas on where to look? I see there is someone else reporting a problem with a Nova on 2.6? -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe linux-dvb" as subject.
