Hey everyone, I'm new at building drivers etc for Linux, but I have been able to trawl the newsgroups and got a little way before I ran into this issue.
Firstly I am running RedHat 9.0, (with what I believe is kernel 2.4.20-8), using a Nova-T (Technotrend Budget), I then copied the kernel-2.4.20-i586.config file from my /usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8/configs directory to :/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8/ renaming it to .config . Then I attempted to run make in the DVB/driver directory and came up with these error messages .. [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/dvbDriver/DVB/driver]$ make make: execvp: /lib/modules/2.4.20-8/build/scripts/pathdown.sh: Permission denied DIR=`pwd`; (cd /lib/modules/2.4.20-8/build; make SUBDIRS=$DIR modules) make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8' make -r -f tmp_include_depends all make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8' touch: creating `/usr/src/build/231485-i386/install/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8/fs/jfs/jfs_de bug.h': No such file or directory make[2]: *** [/usr/src/build/231485-i386/install/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8/fs/jfs/jfs_de bug.h] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8' make[1]: *** [tmp_include_depends] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8' make: *** [here] Error 2 Any ideas?
