I have changed to the 2.6.1-rc3 kernel,
slightly better results, as I am getting a lot more positive information for dmesg,
however as you will see the last 4 lines indicates a problem. Possibly
file permissions? Although the permissions are owner root, group root, rwx

Thanks, I think you've confirmed a suspicion I was
beginning to have. Please
try the attached patch, and let me
know the results.
