Is there a difference between 2.6.1 and 2.6.2-rc1/2? I load the firmware
through the hotplug firmware interface. I found out if i boot first 
2.6.1 and then into 2.6.2-rc1/2 the video output works in 2.6.2-rc1/2 
too. So i think it is really a firmware loading issue. But i wasn't able 
to solve this.
   

Ah, hm, I didn't test TV out (only v4l with xawtv). I probably broke
it during the av7110 driver split. I'll try to fix it.
 

I did not mean the TV out. I meant the TV output through i4l. but i use 
tvtime. never got xawtv to display anything. dunno why :-).
