Since last Saturday, when I tried linuxtv-dvb-1.1.0 driver, nothing
has related to DVB hasworked. For about two weeks I had no big
problems or crashes caused by DVB driver but now I only get kernel
crash or hang when trying to access DVB device with "tzap" or
"mplayer". Since saturday, I have tried building DVB driver 1.1.0 and
1.0.1 modules with GCC 3.3.2 and 2.95, for Linux 2.4.24 and 2.4.23...

Not one combination seems to help now. I just cannot understand why
it refuses to work. My PowerPC 604e based workstation is otherwise
stable, no unexpected crashes. Only EM8300 MPEG decoder driver has
crashed the system every now and then, but it should not be related to
my problem as DVB driver does not work, no matter which modules are
loaded or left out (EM8300, ALSA). DVB-T device looks like this:
---
saa7146: register extension 'budget dvb'.
PCI: Enabling device 00:0e.0 (0004 -> 0006)
saa7146_core: found saa7146 @ mem c809a000 (revision 1, irq 24) (0x13c2,0x1005).
DVB: registering new adapter (TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-T PCI).
DVB: registering frontend 0:0 (Grundig 29504-401)...
TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-T PCI adapter 0 has MAC addr = 00:d0:5c:20:f5:1f
---

This is annoying mystery.
