Hi, it's me again. I still can't get the card to work properly. First of all i have to say i had it working back on my 32Bit system, so i can't be so far away from the right config :) I figured out my download of the firmware was borked, some bytes were missing so i downloaded it again and checked the filesize seriously. Now it loads the firmware, but it throws lots of errors. dmesg says:
av7110_fw_query error DVB: AV711-887054330(0) - firm cb20a006, rtsl ffffffff, vid a96da005, app ffffffff DVB: AV711-887054330(0) - firmware supports CI link layer interface av7110_fw_cmd error av7110_fw_cmd error av7110(0): adac type set to 0 av7110_fw_cmd error av7110_fw_cmd error videodev: "av7110" has no release callback. Please fix your driver for proper sysfs support, see http://lwn.net/Articles/36850/ saa7146_vv: saa7146 (0): registered device video1 [v4l2] av7110: found av7110-0. av7110_fw_cmd error when i insert the stv0299 module and try to run scan, it exits with some error like "can't initially tune the card" and dmesg is full of "av7110_fw_cmd error" errors. I tried everything so far, driver built in to the kernel, driver as module, firmware compiled into the driver, firmware loaded via hotplug. what is the mistake i'm doing, or did the borked firmware ruin my card ? sorry for all the hassle, thanks in advance /max -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe linux-dvb" as subject.
