what exactly is the intended meaning of VIDEO_CENTER_CUT_OUT which is one of the displaymodes that can be set through the VIDEO_SET_DISPLAY_FORMAT-ioctl of the video-device?
I know letterbox and pan&scan and I assume this mode describes an alternative pan&scan-like method that - well - does NOT scan but "cuts out" a fixed region which would fit a dumb hardware. But I'd like to make sure.
