Hi I'm trying to get the WinTV Nova DVB-T USB device working on my Debian Sid box (with kernel 2.6.7 as shipped in Debian; should have pretty recent DVB drivers, yes?). Oh, the box is a ThinkPad T30 (will try with another one on Sunday).
The trouble so far: hotplug recognizes the device fine and loads the dvb_ttusb_budget driver, and along comes dvb_core. However, the frontend driver isn't autoloaded, and when I do so manually, it doesn't do much besides sitting in memory; I don't generally use devfs but I mounted it on the side for debugging, and indeed, only demux0, dvr0 and net0 device nodes appear. (I've gathered that the alps_tdmb7 driver is the correct one to load, yes?) This is the dmesg log when plugging the device in and after that loading alps_tdmb7 with debug=1: usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 4 ttusb_init_controller: dsp-version: 0.0 DVB: registering new adapter (Technotrend/Hauppauge Nova-USB). usbcore: registered new driver Technotrend/Hauppauge USB-Nova init_tdmb7 tdmb7_attach Any help would be appreciated. I will of course provide further information if it's necessary; that's just what I thought would be useful.
