Right. I'm uber busy at work but will have a look at some point in the next
couple of days.

I've downloaded the tarball; is it just a matter of editing the code to
uncomment the 771 line, running

make
modprobe ir-kbd-gpio

In the video4linux directory, and then pointing the remote at the IR
receiver and pressing some buttons? How do I ensure that the newly built
ir-kbd-gpio module is loaded, and not an old one? Do I need to cat any of
the /dev/ stuff to see if the key-presses are working?

Thanks in advance.
Ben

work?

The lines I mentioned are to enable support for the 771's remote. When I
added those extra lines I thought it safer to comment out code for which I
had no way of testing. The 761 stuff does work - because I have one of those
cards which I used to test.

If it does turn out to be working, I can enable that code permanently.

Thanks.

Matt
