The board, as shipped from RPCG, comes with their "Utility" program in
flash. So, if you power up with the terminal parameters 9600n81 and no
flow control, you should see the monitor prompt.
Are you connected to the monitor port (labeled MON) and not the Ethernet
port (they're the same connector, unfortunately).
