I have seen the question come up on this list but
I still do not understand how M-Systems somewhat
restrictive driver license for Linux is compatible with
the GPL. Has Linus, RMS or Alan expressed an
opinion? Has M-Systems expressed their view as
to how it is legal to license their driver in the way
that they have? I hate to push M-Systems too hard
for fear that they will just (foolishly) refuse to support
Linux in the future.
Are there any GPL drivers under development for
the M-Systems hardware?
