Well...  You can patch sysvinit to make it shut up.  Or you could use busybox
init (which has an option to make sure nothing is printed to the console on
boot (BB_FEATURE_EXTRA_QUIET)).  But keep in mind that busybox init has no
concept of runlevels and the /etc/inittab syntax is subtly different then
sysvinit.
