We are using without any patched PC104 modules for modem and serial
4xports
You only have to set the IRQ and IO addressed for these extra serial
ports
from init scripts  e.g: 
setserial -b /dev/ttyS3 port 0x0208 irq 0x07 uart 16550A ^fourport
