The error "Mount point not avaliable" usually means that the directory you
are trying to mount the disk to doesn't exist.
For instance:
When you mount your floppy:
mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy
the directory /mnt/floppy has to exist, or you will get the error you
described.
You said you have your /dev/hd(whatever) do you have the place to mount it?
