sounds messy.  the usb adapter i have been using works like the ide one i was 
using it mounts the same way except:

IDE: /dev/hdc
USB: /dev/sda - this is a kingston technology device.

the flash cards themselves are made by Feiya.  like i said before i have X 
running on it ok.
