about read_ethernet_info()

Hello all,   I made few tests and I saw that the perl procedure Debian::Fai::read_ethernet_info just write the whole kernel message log.   The explication in src is that some drivers do not write eth0, is this still up to date ? do we have a list (even incomplete) of theses drivers ?
