Hello,

I try to install kernel 2.6.8 on a DELL precision with a SATA HD (ICH6). So I put this line in class/DEFAULT.var:

addpackages="kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686 hotplug"

Here the error in the shell.log file when scripts/DEFAULT/S01 execute "chroot /tmp/target apt-get install kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686 hotplug":

When I don't select the gnome-desktop-environment package the installation is OK...

Any idea?

Thank you,
