Fai-cd with SATA and USBCDROM

Hi,

I am having a problem with installing fai with fai-cd the problem I am 
having is:
I am useing a USB CDROM and a SATA drive the install fails because it is not 
detecting the cdrom and sata properly.  If I use the cd I just built on a 
regular IDE harddrive and IDE cdrom it seems that fai is installing 
properly.  Is there somwhere to specify these devices? or should fai detect 
them?  I am certain that these drivers are compiled into the kernel.
