Hello,

I'm having problems with handing out ip addresses to dell poweredge servers.

We have several servers (e.g. a 1850 and 2650) that hand out the wrong mac address. DHCP works and it correctly configured because of the following.

First the machine does a netboot and gets his correct ip addres:

Oct 28 19:29:07 baviaan dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:14:22:17:85:2c via eth1
Oct 28 19:29:07 baviaan dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 10.1.40.75 to 00:14:22:17:85:2c via eth1 Oct 28 19:29:09 baviaan dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 10.1.40.75 (10.1.39.27) from 00:14:22:17:85:2c via eth1 Oct 28 19:29:09 baviaan dhcpd: DHCPACK on 10.1.40.75 to 00:14:22:17:85:2c via eth1

But when booting the nfsroot it again requests his ip adress, but it says the machine already has an ip address:

Oct 28 19:29:15 baviaan dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 201.0.0.0 (62.0.0.0) from 00:14:22:17:85:2c via eth1: ignored (not authoritative).

Has anyone run into this problem?

Thanks in advance,
