NIS setup

Hi, the 24nis class script and the DEFAULT/S01 script set up NIS for the
FAI install if YPSRVR and YPDOMAIN are specified. So my question is this
- what is the preferred way to set these variables? The NIS server name
is not picked up automatically from the network, so getting it that way
would not be possible.
Is it possible to put them in a kernel boot parameter?
Is it possible/better to do it in a class/script? If so, how?
