I wish we didn't have to make the switch to Ubuntu, but it's the same story as elsewhere: Debian stable is too far behind for our users, and Ubuntu is a better choice than sid from a maintenance POV. I will of course continue to contribute within my limited time, but I'm puzzled by the FAI status in Ubuntu. Since Ubuntu is basically a sid snapshot, one might think that it would be trivial to support fai on Ubuntu. Lots of schools, companies and even governments use Ubuntu, so there should be plenty of need for a good deployment tool, and FAI happens to be the best one I know of. /Per
