+1 for apt-cacher-ng. I haven't used apt-cacher, but it's easier to setup and the big advantage - the package is more or less self-contained; you don't need a webserver. All in all my experience was that apt-cacher-ng is way more stable than apt-proxy. Cheers, Robert
