hi, After the help you guys gave me before I was able to successfully complete a FAI setup. however, the machine does not boot from disk. So, what am I doing wrong in this procedure:
we aim at a situation where the fai setup is as simple as it can, just configure disks, OS and puppet client and then do any further config via puppet. this way we don't have to update fai anymore and just keep one single point of administration. because we like a high level of server installation automation we chose to let fai do the raid controller config as well. hence the reason for writing my own script, please have a look at it on github: https://github.com/aswen/scripts/blob/master/mk_partitions note the "skiptask partition" at the end of my hook script. and I commented everything that mounted something because FAI kindly takes care of that. but for some reason grub is not completely installed or configured. so, what am i doing wrong? thanks in advance for any help! regards, alex Met vriendelijke groet, Alexander Swen
