hello - i'm using fai-setup-storage 3.4.8 and believe that i might be running into the same bug as the original reporter.
i am attempting to create one big partition on a 3TB Hitachi HDS5C303 drive: Disk /dev/sdc: 3000.6 GB, 3000592982016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 364801 cylinders, total 5860533168 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes the relevant excerpt from the disk_config is: disk_config sdc disklabel:gpt fstabkey:uuid align-at:4k primary /0 100% ext4 defaults this causes fai to fail with the error: Disk /dev/sdc is too small - at least 3000592982016 bytes are required the workaround of using "0-100%" instead of "100%" allows the install to proceed. per format.log the successful parted command is: Executing: parted -s /dev/sdc mkpart primary "ext3" 20480B 3000592961535B can/should the bug be re-opened? please let me know if there is any additional information that would be helpful. thank you. andy -- andrew bezella <[email protected]> Internet Archive
