Al Viro's been aware of it for eons, and had a patch kicking around for a
long time too, as I gather. It's finally gone into 2.3.7-preX, but you're
not recommended to try that until the bugs are shaken out of the new page
cache / buffer cache stuff.
As for 2.2, you'll have to kludge some blank space into the beginning of
your fs-specific inode info. Al: are there any plans to back port the inode
fix to 2.2? It should be small enough to be 'obviously correct', surely?
