Libre Software Meeting #1 Premiere Rencontre Mondiale du Logiciel Libre General Information The goal of the Libre Software Meeting is to set up a single place where as many people as possible will be able to share information and gather their energies towards large scale projects. It is open to every people willing to contribute to "libre" software: project leaders, developers, translators, advanced users, etc. This event is absolutely non commercial: participation is free in every meaning of the word. Advanced Filesystems topic We're looking for speakers for the Advanced File Systems topic; Current main goals for this topic are: - presentations of state of the art filesystems for the Linux operating system and development progress; - take advantage of the meeting to make proposals for block buffering, VFS, etc. to better support those projects in 2.5.* kernels (especially journalized filesystems); - find volunteers for development, documentation, translation, etc. More detailed topic description and sub-topics list [2] should be considered "work in progress": Feel free to report mistakes, suggest additionnal sub-topics, etc. (suggestions are welcome even if you cannot participate to the meeting).
