Greetings:
I have what appears to be a strange one. In using make to compile and
link a C program I receive the error

/usr/lib/libm.so: could not read symbols: Memory exhausted

at link time. The puzzling aspect: This does not happen for other
users. As another user, the same thing goes through fine. This is
independent of whether X11 or ASCII terminals are being used. This is gcc
2.7.2.1 in slackware 3.2 (aka kernel 2.0.29). Any words will be
appreciated.
