Does anyone know of any good online tutorials or references dealing
with the topic of Semaphores under Unix/Linux. I am referring to a
reference or tutorial that deals with the topic of semaphores either
in the theoretical (abstract) sense, and their applied
implementations, both in System V and Posix, or both.

I am currently familiarizing myself with the topic via the book
"Practical Unix Programming - A Guide to Concurrency, Communication,
and Multithreading", Robbins & Robbins, publ by Prentice Hall. While
this book seems to do an excellent (and probably adequate) job
covering the topic, I am also trying to locate some additional
resources as well.

Any recommendations would be appreciated

Sincerely,

John <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
