Greetings, In relation to X.org bug #22100 [1], a solution has been proposed to make the Geode X driver set the GPIO MUX into DDC mode, before a parsing of the display's EDID data is even attempted. Currently, if the BIOS (or some other tool) has set the GPIO MUX to serial console mode, our driver crashes.
I would especially like to hear from the OLPC team and from vendors of Geode-based embedded devices, whether forcing the MUX to DDC upon initializing the Geode X driver would cause any issue with other hardware that might be dependent upon the GPIO being set to serial console.
