Actually, Andrew, I hope my work has not helped you... if you take my meaning!! The intention of my coding is that all default compilations on all platforms should be exactly as they were before (i.e. your weirdnesses ought still to flourish as before!) ... with the exception of those platforms that had previously been forced to use the "dummy" credentials, which now have the option of compiling for streams (if avilable) rather than sockets. But (which may help you) it has opened up an alternative avenue, streams, for you to probe your weirdnesses: compile "ipcsocket.c" defining "HB_IPC_METHOD" with value "HB_IPC_STREAM". Of course, this new code probably has its own additional weirdnesses to enliven and enrich your life. Also the other patch I posted, for "ipctest.c" should assist in tickling those many parts of "ipcsocket.c" that it had hitherto been unable to reach. (Again, probably not perfect, but it may give you a stepping stone in the swirling waters.) Best wishes. -- : David Lee I.T.
